About
We are establishing UsingIweb to track our adventures as we attempt to move most of our computer services to web-based facilities.
We had discovered that the freeware, OpenOffice, was already providing us with software that replaced the outrageously expensive Microsoft Office.
Now we are looking to moving as much as possible to web-based services.
We are starting by setting up an accounting system. Some of this will be of interest only to geeks, but we will try to make this enough of a plain-language escapade that anyone who is interested can understand how this unfolds.
Will we succeed? Will it all be user-friendly and convenient? Well, that is why we are blogging. We think that others are going to want to do what we are attempting. So here you will see what we try, what works, and what does not.
We would be delighted if our readers advise us when they see that we are about to do something silly, or if anyone finds this material informative.
